for Therapists & Practitioners Across Cultures
This consultation group is in English.
This consultation group is for therapists & practitioners who identify as immigrants or children of immigrants, and want to adapt the IFS model to diverse cultural, linguistic, and lived experiences.
Dates: Fridays, Pacific Time, noon-2pm (March 28, April 25, May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29)
Cost: $600 via Zelle or Venmo for the full series. No refunds or reschedules for missed meetings.
Group Size: Limited to 6 participants.
Certification: Group hours count toward IFS Certification.
This group is an affinity space for therapists who:
Identify as immigrants or children of immigrants.
Work with clients navigating diverse cultural and cross-cultural experiences.
Have completed IFS Level One or equivalent training, such as Stepping Stones.
Together, we will explore how to:
Honor our own and our clients’ unique cultural narratives.
Adapt IFS concepts to align with diverse cultural, linguistic, and lived experiences.
Practice Self leadership while navigating external constraints.
Explore our legacy burdens and blessings.
Format: Case consultation, experiential exercises focusing on therapist's parts work, role-plays, and demos.

Meet Your Consultant: Dora Dui Chen, MA, MSW, LCSW
Dora Dui Chen (朵拉陈, she/her/她) is a Certified IFS Therapist, an IFS-I Approved Clinical Consultant, and an IFS-I Assistant Trainer Mentee. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she specializes in holistic, experiential therapy for individuals and families, with a focus on complex trauma, attachment wounds, and challenges related to immigration and minority experiences.
As a first-generation immigrant from China to the U.S., Dora’s personal journey enriches her compassionate and culturally attuned approach. Having lived in both Eastern and Western cultures, she brings a deep understanding of legacy burdens and blessings to the healing journey.
