With professional training and lived experience, my psychotherapy practice has evolved into an integrative, holistic, and experiential approach as I walk down on my own healing path.

I specialize in supporting adult individuals getting unstuck in life due to the impact of:

  • Stressful life event(s)

  • Trauma & PTSD

  • Adverse childhood experiences

  • Anxiety & fear

  • A consistent feeling of “not good enough” & having trouble saying “no”

  • Recurring unhelpful patterns in relationships

  • Cross-cultural and minority experiences for immigrants, children of immigrants, and international students

I utilize a number of therapeutic models, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Mindful Self Compassion (MSC), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I tailor my approach according to each client’s concerns, challenges, and unique socio-cultural backgrounds.

Safety and connection are the things I value the most in the therapy room. I listen to the client’s distress and hopes with a caring, genuine, and open heart. I allow space for the client to take the session where they want it to go, and at the pace they feel comfortable with.

I also aim to add courage and clarity to the therapy session. The essential goal of my work is to help the client discover, access, and trust their inner wisdom and strength. So that the client will get unstuck, reach personal goals, and continue personal growth, even after the therapy session ends.

Therapeutic Models

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Life is too short to spend it at war with yourself. 

After years of lived experience and professional training, Internal Family Systems model (IFS) is now my primary psychotherapy approach. I love how this non-pathologizing model brings me a holistic healing experience.

There are no bad parts, we say, “all are welcome.” 

As a certified IFS therapist, I can help you: 

  • Use your behaviors, emotions, feelings, and physical sensations as the “trailheads” into your inner world; explore the intentions, thoughts, beliefs, and memories behind the surface.

  • Release the part(s) of you that are still stuck in the past unpleasant experiences, and unburden the shameful beliefs they took on when the painful memories happened.

  • Lead your inner world from a compassionate, authentic, and wise place; develop a better relationship with yourself, so that you can invite joy and stability into the other relationships in life.

Trained in EMDR therapy, I am here to support you create safety and stabilization in daily life, look for what needs to happen with your body, mind, and spirit to process the painful memories, and continue to heal and grow in your own way as the "post-traumatic growth".
